Star RoadQuest was introduced in 2007 as a road show that tours the rural and semi-urban towns across Nigeria. It takes the brightness and excitement of STAR to the grassroots, providing entertainment and giving people the opportunity to showcase their musical talents.

Star RoadQuest is the brand’s road show to semi-urban areas across the country. It began in May 2007 in Akute, Lagos State and continued till the end of the year, touring over 55 other localities across the country, spreading the brighter life. In 2008, the road quest is touring 71 semi-urban towns across the country. Auditioning is done one day before the main event, and 10 participants are shortlisted to perform at the activation proper. With Star RoadQuest, the key decisions are taken by the audience. These 10 talents are chosen by voice-vote and show of hands. During the activation, talents are paired up and the audience eliminates the weaker talent. Finalists then compete in a final round where the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners are selected by the crowd. To promote originality, only music pieces composed by the performers themselves are allowed on Star RoadQuest. Many talented individuals in the rural areas have been giving a shot at the national spotlight on the RoadQuest stage.

Star RoadQuest winners go home with an impressive array of exciting gifts: Yamaha keyboards, Bass guitars, 5-Piece Drum Sets, Television Sets, Home theatre Systems and DVD sets, as well as branded give-away items and drinks.
