Star, the national icon in lager beer and the sponsor of StarQuest, the numero-uno talent discovery reality TV show,
was on yesternight in Star Fameland. The six bands, currently in the race for this year's championship, were assigned to do a new theme song for the very popular brand, which is famously referred to as shine, shine bobo.

That enormous task took over the day's business in fameland as each of the bands went into brilliant composition of songs spiced with striking musical notes for the number one lager brand in the country. Consequently, Star has started radiating brilliantly with these theme songs as sang by the various bands with various styles, tunes and genre.

Some of the bands came up with fine blend of Makossa and soukous to sell the brand, some funkified the brand in Afro-pop style, while some of the bands made it a dance hall affair.

Now, the show is gradually taking over the heart of entertainment in Nigeria, Africa and beyond.
Even the anchor man for StarQuest, Djinee, confessed receiving text messages on the programme from far and wide.

The show is spreading far and wide. We get texts from London, do you know that? He asked quizzically during the programme last night.

Now, the bands are beginning to show themselves. You can now pick up your phone and vote the most competent band. Remember, the band with the highest votes, would win the contest at the end of it all.
